Who we are
Unburden is a Space Cowboys product. Space Cowboys is responsible for your information (the “data controller”). Contact: founder@spacecowboys.co.uk.
Unburden is currently being tested with a small group of family and friends. Please don’t add anything you’d mind losing. We’ll tell you before any test data is deleted.
What we store
- Your email address, so you can sign in.
- Your priorities from the four dials (for example how quickly you want things done), so we can tailor suggestions. If you ask our team for help, they’ll see these too.
- Photos you add, with the names, notes and decisions you record (donate, sell, recycle, gift or keep).
- Names of people you choose as recipients, how they’re related to you, and the stories you write.
- If you use the letter of wishes: your answer about your will, and the wishes you record, including earlier versions.
- If you ask for help around Bath: your name, postcode, how to contact you, the best times to reach you, what you’d like help with, and a copy of your priorities at that moment. Only the Unburden team sees these, to arrange and provide the help you asked for. We’re notified of new requests by email.
- Your postcode, if you check whether we cover your area. It’s used only for that and for bookings.
Photos are shrunk on your device before upload, and the hidden location data phones add to photos is removed.
Gift stories and wishes can include information about other people. Please only include what’s needed.
Why we use it
Only to provide Unburden to you and to improve it based on testing. We don’t sell your information, show you adverts, or share it with anyone except the services below that run Unburden for us.
Where it’s kept, and who helps us
- Supabase stores your account, information and photos, in London. Photos are private to you.
- Vercel runs the Unburden website. Its servers for this app are in London.
- Resend sends your sign-in emails, and tells us about new requests for help.
- Anthropic provides the AI that drafts sales adverts. Only when you tap “Draft an advert for me”, that item’s photo and notes are sent to Anthropic to write the draft. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic doesn’t use this to train its AI models.
These companies may process some data outside the UK, for example for support. Where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
Cookies
We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it or your account, or until the test ends, whichever comes first. We’ll let you know before the test ends.
Your rights
You can see and download everything we hold about you, and delete your account and all your data at any time, from the Account page. You can also ask us to correct or delete anything by emailing founder@spacecowboys.co.uk.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
